Subject: Please participate in the Rutgers survey of Student Experience at the Research University (SERU)

Dear Rutgers University Student.

I am writing to invite you to participate in the 2009 survey of the Student Experience at the Research University (SERU). This year Rutgers joins the Universities of California at Berkeley, Michigan, Minnesota, Pittsburgh, Florida and Oregon in a combined effort to improve the undergraduate experience at major research universities.

This survey gives you an opportunity to provide honest and confidential feedback about what’s important to you – what’s working well and what’s not working so well.

You may log in now at https://osr2.berkeley.edu/Users/seru/2009Rutgers/loginc.html.

It is critical that you complete the SERU survey. We want to hear what you have to say and then act on your behalf to improve our work.

You can win a prize for participating. Several prizes will be drawn three times during the data collection period. One $500 and four $75 prizes will be randomly drawn each time. The sooner you complete the survey, the more chances you have to win as only winners will be excluded from subsequent drawings.

Participating in the survey is completely voluntary, and will not affect your grades, registration or enrollment in any way. The survey takes approximately 25 minutes to complete. If you have any questions about the project, just reply to this email.

Thanks for your input on the undergraduate experience at Rutgers.
